Friday we took a half day trip up to Salt Lake to have a picnic lunch, go to the zoo and then visit Temple Square. These are some pictures from our lunch at Legacy Park. Michael and Allison went down by the water to see the ducks and throw them a small piece of food. We didn't really bring anything with us to feed the ducks. We didn't know we would end up near ducks at our picnic. Well after they tossed something into the water they came back to join us. There was a little hill that lead back up from the water. Michael and Allison appeared coming back toward us and the ducks followed and followed and kept coming closer, more and more of them. They moved almost as one towards us.
Needless to say we were a little nervous. We all ended up sitting on the table to feel a little better. Eventually they stopped advancing and just hung around. Then little by little I got bold and then the kids and Michael got bold. We would walk towards them and they would move away, rather quickly at times. It was a really bizarre experience. And yes I will admit the ducks had me scared for awhile.
