Here are a couple of pictures from Mathew's birthday. We hadn't planned on being at home...so we weren't totally prepared. We went to dinner at IHOP that evening. Then we bought this little cake at Wal-Mart:
We lit the candles and sang to Mathew, but none of the cake was eaten until Saturday (2 days later). We plan to do a regular cake (and/or cupcakes) for him for a friend birthday party, yet to be arranged. He wants it to be a Batman cake...so Michael is going to draw the bat symbol on top.
We were trying to get Mathew to do a regular laugh for the pictures because they make such cute smiles. But what is got is the picture above...well he is cute anyway. He loved his gifts. He was ESPECIALLY excited about one of them that was an "egg" that hatched. It sits in water for like 48 hours at which time the egg has cracked and little lizard has poked its head out. He and Allison kept an eye on that for the 48 hours, then the next morning we let them crack it all out because it wasn't changing anymore.
