Michael and the kids were playing baseball with pinecones and a stick (even though we had brought a bat and balls and Mathew had gotten another bat and ball from Renee). It was fun for them to find pinecones and try to hit them with the stick.
This is a game called Ladder Ball. My family played it at a Green family gathering a couple of months ago. The poles are made of cvc pipes and are color coded for scoring. Blue is 3 points, Orange is 2 points and Yellow is 1 point. You use bollows (spelling?) which are basically like golf balls connected by a rope. You throw the bollows at the pipes and score appropriately. Mathew and Allison really loved this. Michael seemed to enjoy it too.

Mathew is playing Go Fish with Emily and Curt Barker. He wanted to play games a lot during the weekend and was VERY disappointed when the adults would play and he couldn't. He tried to be on a "team" as often as he could.
They started a Connect Four tournament, but didn't end up finishing it. We also played my new game Imaginiff. Two other favorite games during the weekend were Life: Twist and Turns (Electronic) and Rage (a card game similar to Oh Heck).
