Kindergarten

Allison is working on her second week of kindergarten. She is really enjoying it. She still likes Mom to walk her all the way into the classroom, but then Mathew and Mom leave, she stays so well and is such a big girl. Mom and Mathew enjoy taking her to school and walking all the way in, so it all works out. Starting this Thursday Mom gets to go to Allison's classroom and help out for an hour. We aren't sure if Mathew is coming too, yet. As long as he is a happy good boy it will be fine. Allison has homework already. But it is more fun than anything. A few of the things she can do this week for homework (she has to do 3 out of 5), include looking at herself in the mirror and saying "Hey good looking" and she can also count how many cans of food we have in the cupboard. Thank goodness it isn't at Grandma Green's house cause oh boy would that take forever. :) Allison has also memorized her address and phone number and recited them to her teacher for a treat. Mom is so excited and happy to watch everything Allison is learning. Her favorite thing at school is already recess, oh how they learn young. She is also excited to learn to read this year.

Mom and Mathew are still trying to figure out the schedule and enjoy the time they have together. We have gone to the library a couple of times. But mostly we just rest and try for a quiet time. Boy does Mom love those.

We enjoyed this summer and all the family we had come visit. Now we are just settling into school and work and everyday life. We are hoping to go to Canada for Canadian Thanksgiving in October, but car issues cause plans to not be made. We also plan to go to Arizona for Christmas this year. Those are our upcoming plans, but as you all know things come up and change all the time. :)
