Rainy Wednesday

Allison is still loving kindergarten. Kristy is enjoying working in her classroom once a week. It is so much fun to see the change in the kids from week to week. It is amazing how much more they know. The end of last week Allison brought home an opposites book that they cut out and stapled together at school. She LOVES to "read" it to us. The school and teacher encourage those reading with her to point to words as we read. So she points to the word and tells us what it is because she looks at the picture and has learned the word. She also brought home a notebook with rhymes in it that she can "read" to us. It is way fun!

Allison has also memorized all of a scripture with the help of her dad. She knows Alma 37:35. "Oh remember my son and learn wisdom in thy youth; yea learn in thy youth to keep the commandments of God." It was wonderful to hear her say it by herself the very first time. She loves to repeat it just about every night. :)

Allison has learned to do the monkey bars by herself. Her dad has even taught her how to swing herself and keep moving. She has even been able to take dad and Mathew with her to her school playground and show them what she likes and how she does those monkey bars.

Mathew has definitely mastered his little trike bike. Mom and the kids went on a walk yesterday and Mom couldn't keep up with Mathew on his trike and Allison on her scooter. He loves to jump on the trampoline and pretend to fall as he runs on it. We are working on stopping him from needing water in a sippy at bedtime. It is proving difficult on the nights that Mathew doesn't want to go to bed...Kristy loves bedtime and struggles with what to do to keep him there, especially on nights he is over tired. Mathew also asks every day if it is Pumpkin Day yet. Trying to explain about October and when Halloween is, is quite the challenge when talking to a 3 year old.

The kids are both excited for fall and Allison is ready for snow even. Kristy isn't so sure. Michael is ready for snowboarding season and is LOVING the cool fall weather we are having.

This weekend is Father's and Son's Outing and Mathew is SO excited to go camping with Dad. Allison and Mom are planning to enjoy some time together here at home. Well for now that's all I have.
